The Sundre Municipal Library uses volunteers in the following roles:
Library Helper
· Duties include reshelving materials, using lists to retrieve items, shelf reading, and tidying shelves.
· Requires the ability to do light lifting and bending and knowledge of the Dewey Decimal system.
· Library Helpers commit to a 2 - 4 hour shift, once a week.
Program Coordinator
· Duties include planning and presenting children’s programs or facilitating book clubs.
· Requires experience presenting to children, youth, or adults.
· Program Coordinators commit to preparing one program a month.
General Volunteer
· Duties could include helping at special events, handyman services, or anything that you can offer.
· Requires a willingness to help at the library.
· General Volunteers commit to helping on an as needed basis, for as much time as they are willing to offer.
